I ready our blog daily (at least try daily). I always look forward to reading what you post, you remind me alot of myself.
I just ready your comment on Bonnie Langs post about moderation or all or nothing and I felt the need to write to you to get some much needed advice. I workout daily (sometimes a couple times a day depending on my days off from work) I do my best to eat healthy and not to go overboard in that same arena. Now with that being said, I do not weigh myself, I got to a point in my life where the scaled ruled how I felt each day and i decided i couldn’t continue with that lifestyle, it affected me, my husband and my children. So i stopped, i adjust all by the way i look and feel in my clothes. I have 3 children (13, 10, 7, after my last baby i began to notice alot of hormonal changes, NOT IN A GOOD WAY) Lots of dealing with Doctors that really couldnt help me. I found a physician that deals with Bioientical hormones and let me say that was the best thing that could have happened. The downside of this is that my weight and appearance is constantly changing. I can wake up one morning and be thin feeling and fit, the next day wake up and and look and feel “bigger”, which just makes me want to eat less and workout more.
The jist of the novel is i need someone (other than my family and physician) to tell me that this is something that will all right itself in due time and i shouldn’t let that all control my daily life. (maybe i just needed to vent to someone and you seemed to be the right person).
Thank you for taking the time to “listen”! Take care
Stacy – I don’t know your body or your mind, but I do know that a lot of the stress we have in life comes from trying to be perfect – eating the perfect foods, working out 6 days a week, looking a certain way. What truly matters is your HEART. We won’t be able to get rid of this stress if we’re constantly playing into it. That’s why I refuse to let myself go on diets or fasts. I’d rather be 5-10 pounds over my “ideal weight” and have my sanity!
Hello! I was actually curious about more info on pre/post-natal fitness and nutrition!! Can you shoot me a note?
