Happy Monday and happy post-Christmas/holidays to you all!

How was your holiday?  Do you celebrate Christmas?

We had such a great time around here…thought things felt a little off.  Western North Carolina has experienced some seriously crazy weather in the past few days and on Christmas day, I wore SHORT SLEEVES and the day after, actual SHORTS (my legs…they need a tan stat).  Before Christmas Day, we had several rainy days and flash flooding.  It got so bad that our basement actually started flooding.  Eek.  All is well now (Travis spent the majority of the night on the 23rd vacuuming with the Shop Vac – based on the number of times he had to dump the cylinder, he thinks he vacuumed up around 160 gallons!!  Praise the Lord that the rain stopped and it all seems to be fixed for now.

Aside from the weather problems and soggy basement, our Christmas was lovely.  The day started off at 6am with some super excited children and ended around 10pm with some super exhausted everyone.  We spent quality time with family (some live here, some travel here for the holidays) and kept up with most of our traditions (especially the Christmas Day nap).  It really is the most wonderful, magical time of the year and I’m kind of sad to see it over.

I tried not to have my phone around too much but I did manage to snap a few pictures over the last week.  Here’s everything I found:

QUESTION:  How was your Christmas??  Get anything special?  <-The kids got me a waffle maker and Travis gave me a wall timer/clock for my gym downstairs!

  1. Looks like you guys had a really great holiday! It was nice for me to get home and spend a few days with my family and then come back and get a nice little day date with the boyfriend yesterday before heading back to work today. I got totally spoiled by my family this year with a FitBit and Canon Rebel (!!!!!) and zucchini noodle maker and a few gift cards. I’m just feeling so insanely blessed! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your little clan! :)
