I think I’ve had this guest post sitting in my drafts box for like almost a year. That’s bad. I love Lindsay – we met at Blend 2014 and then saw each other again at Refresh Summit! She’s pretty funny and I’m thankful for the post! Take it away, friend!

Hi Lindsay’s List readers! I’m Lindsay from Lindsay Weighs In and I’m so excited to be here today. By the way, the coolest people are named Lindsa(e)y, though -ay is much better – fact.

Anyway, I’m here today to talk about what I do when I’m bored. Buckle up because you sure are in for a treat. ;)
…my mind wanders. I think about a lot of things. I critique myself. I wonder what I’m doing wrong. I wonder what I’m doing right. I get stressed. I know everything will be okay.
… I watch totally educational reality television. Favorites used to include Teen Mom and Catfish, though our current TV package does not include MTV (or E!), the horror. I have now resorted to watching mostly Bravo, TLC and HGTV (never thought that would happen) programs. We don’t have MTV, but we have BBC. Explain this to me, please. Verizon Fios is trying to make me cultured. ;) The Little Couple is my favorite.
I can’t handle the cuteness!!! (Source)
…I bake or cook. This is also something I do when I’m sad. It’s not always great for anyone involved, as I am a much better “burner” than I am a chef. I recently ruined an entire (ELEVEN DOLLAR) jar of coconut butter in the microwave trying to soften it. I don’t have the creativity or patience to be good in the kitchen, though I sure do try.
…Watch When Harry Met Sally. This is my go to “I’ve had a bad day and need to zone out movie.” It’s one my favorites, and I try to only reserve it for such occasions as it always does the trick. One of my best friends from college would come home, see it on, and ask me what happened. She knew aaaaall about it.
…Call/Text/Skype/FaceTime with friends. Some of my friends are scattered all around now since we’ve been out of college for a few years but I had to pay college tuition as well, and I try hard to stay in touch and in their lives. One of my favorite people to FaceTime with is Emily because I get to see this little ray of sunshine.
Dance, Bryna, Dance!!!! (Extra happy/cool points if she’s dancing and loving on a toy you got here!)
…call my Mom. You’re welcome, Mama. I know you appreciate our daily phone calls even though I live 10 minutes from you. Imagine how bad it will be when/if I ever move further away! #Mamasgirl
…come up with a million different blog post ideas in my head, only to forget them moments later. Must get better about writing things down. Some of the best post ideas you’ll never see, because I have the memory of Dory.

SIDENOTE -is anyone else super super excited about the new Finding Dory movie? I love me some Disney/Pixar movies.
… Exercise. I’m currently out of commission right now from a knee injury after my first half (but I still wouldn’t change it for the world!) Once I get the go ahead from my PT to start working out again, you can bet I’ll be back to sweating away some boredom.
So that’s only a handful of the things I do when I’m bored. Others include reading, binge watching Gilmore Girls, cleaning (though I don’t often get bored enough for that one!), but these are some of the most fun.
QUESTION: What do you do when you’re bored?
OH MY GOSH I CANNOT WAIT UNTIL THE FINDING DORY MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
this is a cute post :)
when I have spare time I typically either read, read blog posts, or watch episodes of Parks & Rec.
:) nap these days!!! but I try to make myself read!
