PLEASE make sure you answer the comment question below!!  I’ll come up with a super sweet gift to send the winner!

This could quite possibly be my last pregnancy update!  I just feel ready.  I have time-able, painful contractions for the second half of the day (and a lot right before bed) and then I wake up the next day and …no baby.  He’s dropping and my body is telling me it’s ready.  We’ll just have to wait and see!

What is baby up to at 38 weeks?

(from BabyCenter.com)

  • Your baby has really plumped up!  He weighs about 6.8 pounds and is over 19 1/2 inches long (about the size of a leek).
  • He has a firm grasp, which you’ll soon be able to test when you hold his hand for the first time!
  • His organs have matured and are ready for life outside the womb.

How is mama feeling?

Fitness

I’ve made a goal (that I’m being really flexible with):  I want to attend classes until Porter arrivesThe key to this:  MODIFICATIONS!  Take the jump out.  Take some weight off.  Lower my step.  I modify quite a bit of the exercises and still feel like I get a great workout (plus it beats the treadmill any day!).

Here’s the rundown from last week:

  • Monday:  Bootcamp + 15 minutes ArcTrainer
  • Tuesday:  Full body strength on my own
  • Wednesday: Bootcamp + 15 minutes hip strengthening
  • Thursday:  REST
  • Friday: Bootcamp + 15 minutes bike
  • Saturday:  Zumba
  • Sunday:  REST

Sleep

I’m having the hardest time falling asleep due to restless legs (feels like I need to itch them or move them constantly).

Gender?

BOY! Porter Killian

Belly Button?

OUTTIE!

Rings?

On. But I rarely wear them.

A lot of you asked about the dress I wore to Camila’s wedding.  I found it on Ebay – the brand is Bellyssima and I was able to talk the seller down from $100 to $40!!

Stretch Marks?

Still none!

Movement?

Starting to slow down – he’s running out of room.

To Do List

Nothing!!  We’re all set and ready!  <-I do need to remember a few things before we walk out the door (glasses, contact case, water bottle) but they’re written on a list so I won’t forget.

What I’m Missing

A friend asked me the other day what I was missing during these last few weeks.  The answer:  SO much…but I wouldn’t trade this little life or this pregnancy for anything.  I know how blessed I am!

I miss…

  • Sushi
  • Laying on my belly (I’m normally a belly-sleeper)
  • Feeling “normal” and not nauseous
  • Sex that doesn’t require props Winking smile
  • High intensity exercise

  1. I’m guessing April 13 which was my due date :) my little one came 2 weeks early!

  2. Let’s try April 5th! I’m sending you prayers and positive thoughts for Porter to arrive soon! ;)

  3. Every day is a week at the end, right?! But you’re almost there!! Hmmm, I’ll guess April 4th :)

  4. My birthday is April 15th!! So, as much as I know you’re ready to meet him… my guess is April 15th! Also, I love your blog so much. My husband and I are expecting our first – we’re 11 weeks along, and very excited. OH, and I swear you took that fage picture of me eating an afternoon snack. Daniel and I eat “loaded” greek yogurt all the time.

  5. April 5th!

And the key for restless legs is magnesium supplementation! I have struggled with this for years and magnesium is the cure.

  6. I always thought 4/4/14 sounded like a cool birthday, so I’ll go with that! And I’ll hope my baby comes on 4/14/14. ;)

Oh man, I am a belly sleeper too and miss it SO much. I haven’t slept on my belly in THREE years. I couldn’t the whole time I was breastfeeding and breastfed until I got pregnant again, so it’s been so long.

  7. Hmmmm… Timetable contractions every night? Sounds familiar! I’m guessing sooner rather than later – April 3? But be prepared for him to come fast when he decides to come! :)

  8. I sure have been inspired by your posts throughout this pregnancy, Lindsay!! I hope Porter arrives safely on any day, but my guess is April 7th :)

  9. Hahahaha sex without props….. We can’t find an acceptable solution for this. Gaaaah.
My guess is April 6 since the 5th was already guessed!!

  10. bahahaha sex without props. i have never been pregnant before…it sounds exciting there at the end ;) My date guess: april 7. No idea why. just sounds good. GOOD LUCK!
