Welp. Today is an exciting day for the Wrights!! We go this afternoon for an ultrasound that should show us the SEX of this little one!!! If Travis and I are excited, Henry and Clara are FLIPPING OUT excited (it’s like a whole ‘nother level)! Henry thinks it’s a boy, Clara wants a girl.
COME BACK TOMORROW FOR THE BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!!
(P.S. I’m not sure whether I told you guys or not, but my sister (who’s due 5 days before me) just found out she’s having a GIRL!)
(P.P.S. I’m 19 weeks on the 19th. Number people (ahem, Janetha) will find that interesting for some reason.)
What is baby up to at 19 weeks?
(from BabyCenter.com)
- Baby weighs about 8 1/2 ounces and measures 6 inches, head to bottom — about the size of an heirloom tomato.
- A waxy protective coating called the vernix caseosa is forming on baby’s skin to prevent it from pickling in the amniotic fluid.
- Some research suggests that baby may be able to hear your voice now!
How is mama feeling?
Weight Gain
The time has come. I’ve finally caught back up to my pre-pregnancy weight, which I feel fine sharing with you just this once – 146 pounds (of pure, unadulterated muscle). From here forward, I won’t be weighing myself at home OR the doctor’s office (my doctor is A-OK with this!). I’ll have to sub in something else for this info share – maybe “number of stretch marks” or “cellulite pockets.” I’ll figure something out.
Fitness
Let’s see…in the last week, I’ve gone to 3 Bootcamps, 1 Zumba class and been on 4 walks! A great week of fitness. I’ve noticed a slight increase in my round ligament pain so it takes my body a good 15 minutes to really warm up to exercise. After that though, I feel almost like my normal self when I work out.
Sleep
Going well! Up less to pee. Still sleeping on my stomach (with a pillow propped under half of it).
Belly Button?
In.
Movement
YES!! We’ve got some KICKS going on in there. Although Travis can’t feel them on the outside yet, I feel baby moving a lot more throughout the day and especially at night when lying in bed.
Symptoms
- Nausea. <-sad to say but the nausea has come back in the past three days.
I’m trying SO hard to keep this all in perspective – I’m so very blessed to be going through this in the first place! It’s just GOT to end soon, right?!?!
- Increase appetite. I want all.the.food.
- Round ligament pain.
Cravings
None to report. I will say this: I’m already getting super excited about Thanksgiving food! Turkey, mashed potatoes, dressing, gravy, pecan pie. I want a big plate of it all. (And then seconds.) Tell me below – what is your favorite Thanksgiving dish??

QUESTION: Let’s take some bets. What do you think the SEX of this baby will be?? <-I think GIRL, just based off of how sick I’ve been. I’ll be thrilled either way though!

Amy says:
Girl! Looking good mama!
Brooke says:
I was more sick with my girl too, so I’ll go with girl! And love that you won’t be weighed by the doctor anymore! I need to keep that request in mind (should the opportunity arise again!). That ale pays stressed me out when I was pregnant.
purelytwins says:
we are thinking a girl ;)
Megan (The Lyons' Share) says:
What an exciting day for you and your family!! And congratulations on a great week of workouts!
Dominique @ That's What Domi Said says:
No! Not more nausea! :/ Maybe a big plate of Thanksgiving food will be the cure?!
Good luck today! My bets are on a boy :)
Katie says:
girl…based on sickness, too.
and my doc just told me I had to stop working out and I’m crushed. But trying to keep it all in perspective, too! So happy for you, my friend.
Natalie @ Free Range Human says:
I’m hoping for a girl!!
Annette@FitnessPerks says:
I guess girl!!
YAY! Can’t wait to find out! :)
Kierston @candyfit says:
I can’t wait to hear the news!
I’m going to go with girl :)
p.s. Love that outfit. Very very cute xo
Katie @ Peace Love & Oats says:
That outfit with the boots is adorable! And I guess Boy! Haha solely because my mom had a boy, then a girl and then a boy, as did my grandmother!
Heather @ Fit Mama Real Food says:
Oooooo I think girl! Maybe because I’m having a girl and was a bit more sick this pregnancy than with hunter (although nothing compared to your nausea). Can’t wait to find out!! That’s going to be so fun for your kiddos too. Was Henry excited when you were pregnant with Clara? Or was he still really young, I don’t remember how far apart in age they are.
You’re looking fabulous. Glad for a great fitness week, they are wonderful!
Kelly @ Cupcake Kelly's says:
I’ll say boy, I was sick until week 20 with my son. My favorite thanksgiving dish is potatoes roasted or mashed!
Tina @ Best Body Fitness says:
Ahhhh! Cannot wait to hear!!!!
Erin @ Girl Gone Veggie says:
9/19 is my birthday! I love 9’s haha So I also think that is a very awesome sign!
Brittany (healthy slice of life) says:
Love the updates! Were you more sick with Clara than Henrry? I had slight nausea with hailey, but it’s been much worse this time! Makes me wonder if it’s another girl (who is demanding attention) or an anti-all-the-old-wives-tales boy?
I guess I could look of I wanted- it’s taped in an envelop to our fridge that we haven’t opened yet :)
Good luck today! Praying for a healthy baby for you!
Sarena (The Non-Dairy Queen) says:
Love that baby bump! You are moving right along! I’m with you on the Thanksgiving food and I’m not even pregnant. Tony and I are running in a half marathon that morning, so I will definitely be eating that plus some. :) Dressing and crustless pumpkin pie are my favorites…I think I need to make extra for that day!
Good luck today! I know you all have to be so excited. Hhhmmm a guess…I will guess girl. All those feisty hormones that are making you so sick. Either way I’m routing for a healthy baby! I’m so excited for the 4 of you!!!
Carly @ Snack Therapy says:
You’re really bumpin’ now! I’m gonna guess a boy, just because I can. Good luck at your appt today!
Linz @ Itz Linz says:
GIRL!! Ah can’t wait to find out!!!!!
Emily says:
Eeeek! I love these weekly updates :D
I’m guessing girl! My favorite Thanksgiving dish is (hands down) corn casserole. Talk about your terrible food (ALL THE BUTTER) but holy cow – yumtown.
Madeline @ Food Fitness and Family says:
I’m going to guess girl too because of the sickness. For some reason females are statistically more likely to cause their mom that trauma. At least both of mine followed that rule. AND I totally know how awesome it feels to get back to your pre-preg weight after being sick :) You look so good!
Brittany @ run, read, repeat says:
I bet girl :)
Lee says:
I say girl too. I wasn’t sick at all and I’m having a boy so there’s some truth to the old wives tale, at least in my case!
Danica @ It's Progression says:
Can’t wait to read about the reveal tomorrow!!
lindsay says:
i’ll be texting you later for the big reveal, i need to know!!! hehe
Kristen @ notsodomesticated says:
I’ll bet girl, too! But I’m usually wrong, so that means it will probably be a boy. ;)
Last year when I was pregnant, Thanksgiving and Christmas were the best because I could just eat eat eat and not have to worry about my pants getting too tight haha! Yay for pregnancy pants!!
Caitlin Dunlevy says:
Girl! I love that all muscle. I am the same way and people are stunned when I tell them my weight. Muscle weighs more than fat and looks a heck of a lot better! I never weight myself I just would rather tell if I fit into my clothes :) congrats lady u look awesome
