One of the (many) perks of moving to our new house?  It’s proximity to the local park!  One of the downfalls?  Internet will not be installed until NEXT Monday!  Cue panic and hysteria for a woman who blogs/pins/tweets/facebooks and a man who spends countless hours on guitar message boards.  Oh wait.  And then there are my poor children – no internet means no Netflix movies.  Wah-wah.  What’s a family to do?!?!  (And seriously, who will post ridiculous remarks in the ongoing “Which is better: Gibson or Martin?” debate?!?!  Who?!?  You tell me!)

The solution lies at the PARK!  (And the nearby McDonald’s that provides deliciously fancy soft serve and free Wi-Fi so I can bring you this post!)

Sprout Foods recently sent us a sampling of their delicious Fruity Yogurt Snacks and Fruit & Veggie Crispy Chews to try out, so we packed them up and headed to the park.  Made with organic fruit and yogurt, these bite size pieces were the perfect take-along for our outing.  No fuss and no messy, sticky fingers – does that bother anyone else?!  I like my children quiet and clean.  Smile

The ingredients are healthy and with flavors like Orange Carrot and Tropical Fruit/Pumpkin, I felt really great about letting them eat a couple of packs a piece.  I may or may not have snagged a few of the Purple Berry & Carrot Bites and Henry & Clara may or may not have thrown a few pieces in to the fishies.

When I stop and think about it, who really needs internet??*

GIVEAWAY TIME!

Sprout would like to give away a prize pack sampling of their toddler snacks!  Simply leave a comment below and tell me your favorite snack!  A winner will be announced on Friday!

  1. Hmmmm….. I love snacking so I have a few! Watermelon is on the top of the list. I really like it.

  2. Loving Simply bars in oatmeal chocolate chip cookie right now or anything with almond butter! Yum!!

  3. BEAUTIFUL post. Mostly because you have beautiful kiddos.

Favorite snack right now is watermelon. Adrienne and Meeker hate it, so I get the whole dang thing to myself.

  4. my kiddos favorite snack (not including Ethan) is pan-popped popcorn- olive oil and parm. cheese is so yummy. Ethan’s favorite snack is yogurt melts and mine is chocolate covered almonds with cranberries. I will say that I LOVe sprouts’ organic baby food pouches for when I’m out and about. No spoon to forget or get gooey, no fuss- love.

  5. Martin sounds better, but Gibson looks cooler. ;-)

My current favorite snack is a thin layer of peanut butter spread on a graham cracker & topped with thinly sliced banana.

  6. ignore my comment for the contest (food allergies d’oh) …. but i had to stop by and say amazing photos by Travis and amazingly adorable kids (by lindsay and travis!). <3

  7. favorite snack???? love blueberries and strawberries, peanut butter and chocolate, my current go to snack in the evening is: plain greek yogurt with 1 T peanut butter and homemade chocolate(coconut oil, agave or honey, cocoa).

  8. My favorite snack is air pop popcorn with a little coconut oil, cinnamon and nutmeg!

  9. I am a HUGE fan of fresh fruit…particularly frozen grapes now that it’s SUMMER!!!

  10. Oh those babies!!! Those pictures look like a professional photo shoot!

My Rylnn LOVES fruit gummie snacks and the fruit pouches the best. I really like to snack on fruit or clif/luna bars :)

  11. My two favorite snacks are fruit and cottage cheese, (especially fresh peaches this time of year!) or fruit and a slice of cheese. I like fruit! And dairy…

  12. Cute kids! My go-to snack is a smoothie. If I’m on the run, then I usually eat a banana (my fav).

  13. Such beautiful photos! And I LOVE Clara’s dress. I want one in my size, pleeeease! :) As far as snacks go, I’ve been eating a lot of yogurt with homemade jelly & mini chocolate chips. Especially tasty when it’s sat in the freezer a bit! But to be honest, my all time favorite snack is kettle cooked chips. YUMMO!!

  14. I’m going to echo everyone else here…your pictures are amazing! It makes me want to go to the park with my camera (and daughter too…).

No lies here – my favorite snack is ice cream. I just don’t eat it all the time :)
