swanson vitamins giveaway

I’ve recently fallen in love with a vitamin supplier and I just have to share – Swanson Vitamins.  Now hear this:  I bought vitamins and supplements from Swanson Vitamins long BEFORE I was approached to host a giveaway and review.  Remember back in January when I told you guys about my digestion/gut woes?  I’m still working on the problem, but it has improved VASTLY!  A great part of that healing is due to my morning cocktail of Swanson’s Super Green Max Plus and apple cider vinegar.

I mix 1 tablespoon of the greens with 2 teaspoons of Bragg’s ACV in lukewarm water.  Drink it immediately upon rising.

I can’t even remember how I found the greens, but now I have at least 2 canisters on hand at all times.  I tweeted my love for this product and pretty soon after, I had made a contact at the company (and scored a jar of their Organic Coconut Oil for every Blend swag bag!!  Full size!)  I was given a $50 credit for Swansonvitamins.com and told to “shop till I dropped.” <-they didn’t really say that.

I had a little too much fun perusing this websiteSwanson seriously sells EVERYTHING (except Justin’s Vanilla Almond Butter – every other flavor except this coveted one.  WHY?!)  Vitamins, supplements, healthy treats and snacks, organic shampoo, coffee, loofahs.  They sell anything and everything that one might need to lead a healthy life.  Honestly I was a bit overwhelmed (and spent a solid two hours going through the products).  Swanson always has a sale of some sort and their “house labeled” products are always a good deal!

Here’s what I got:

A closer look:

Like I shared earlier, I drink 2 tbsp. of Bragg’s every day, so this was a must!  Plus, it’s pretty expensive in my small town – very reasonable online.

036

I couldn’t find my favorite green powder (discontinued??  please no), so I got this green powder to try instead.  Fingers crossed that it works well!

037

In love with Avalon Organics!  Swanson had all of their Avalon products reduced at 20% off!  Clara’s skin is so sensitive that we have to be careful what to bathe her in.

029

I currently have no anti-aging regimen.  Trying to fix that.

038

I’ve tried the Honey Mustard flavor of Lundberg’s Rice Chips (and love them), so when I saw this new-to-me flavor, I just had to scoop it up.

039

I knew I wanted to get a specialty flour to experiment in the kitchen– it was either this quinoa flour or coconut flour.  I’ll order coconut next.

Thank you, Swanson, for letting me shop!

  1. Just FYI, it’s SUPER easy to make your own quinoa flour! It’s recommended to toast it in the oven first, but all you have to do is pop the raw stuff in the blender and let it do its THANG! Coconut flour on the other hand…YOU TOTALLY NEED! Lol

  2. For the last couple of month (since my knee started acting up), I’ve been taking a glucosamine/chondroiton supplement…I figure since they found quite a bit of arthritis in my joint during my surgery, it couldn’t hurt to start taking something for my joints! Gah, it makes me feel so old to say that! Lol

  3. I take Tumeric (720g) on a daily basis for it’s anti-inflammatory as well as antibacterial/antiviral properties. Other supplements I take are Spirulina, Goji Berry, Royal Jelly, Bee Propolis and Cinnamon Gymnema Mulberry Complex.

  4. I try to take a B vitamin and Calcium supplement every day – that is, if I remember!

  5. I take a fair few vitamins- a multi, St John’s Wort, Glucosamine, Fish Oil, COQ10, magnesium and a probiotic.
:) Looks like an awesome site- I wonder if hey ship to Australia?

  6. I don’t take any vitamins right now…I’m trying to get myself to remember to take ACV every morning, though.

  7. The only supplement I currently take is biotin! It keeps my hair and nails strong and healthy ;)

  8. I take vitafusion MultiVites gummy vitamins for adults and Viactiv for extra calcium and Vitamin D.

  9. I take a multivitamin and extra fish oil everyday, I aslo coincidentally just bought some more Apple Cider Vinegar (gag) today that I add to my water daily!
Hugs to you and your sweet family!

  10. I take Calcium…when I remember. Maybe if I bought some of those tootsie roll-like calcium chews, I’d be better at remembering to take them :)

  11. I take a prenatal vitamin every day. Not preggo or planning to get preggo. I love how the vitamin makes my hair grow :)

  12. I take vitamin B12 everyday… as a person with Crohn’s it’s soooo important to keep my B12 levels up!

  13. I take a Vitamin C supplement every day. I’m a special ed. teacher and deal with students up-close-and-personal. It’s a must!

  14. I take vitamin D everyday. Its totally necessary since it is still snowing in Minnesota and not even into the 40 degree range yet!

  15. I was using a leading brand of weight loss supplements and switched to identical products from Swanson; Swanson cost only 15% of the price of the former! Favorite supplement was Swanson Green Tea, 1-a-day, slow release.

  16. I drink ACV every morning and am gluten free so I can’t wait to find new GF goodies and alternative flours!!

  17. I LOVE Swanson too! I take Calcium/D and actually mix Chlorella into my daily smoothie, but that Green Max Mix looks like something worth trying!

  18. The only vitamin I take right is now Calcium chew tablets, but would love to research/invest in taking more!

  19. I take juice plus fruits and vegetables everyday! Really helps during allergy season.

  20. Love Swanson! I take a daily whole foods multi and probiotics! Couldn’t live without them!

  21. I need to be better about my vitamin intake, but I usally only take vitamin B’s on a daily basis…I would love a little digestion help though! ha I’ll have to check this stuff out!

  22. I absolutely love swanson. I have started regularly taking their sublingual vitamin b-12 drops. I love them. I am also a huge fan of apple cider vinegar, definitely helps with indigestion and acid reflux!

  23. I love Swanson! They are located right down the street from my Grandma’s house! They were a HUGE sponsor of the Fargo Marathon when I ran the half two years ago. I got sooo many awesome free samples! Swanson is such a generous company. I always take a multi-vitamin, but I just ordered magnesium to take in place of calcium. I’ve heard good things…hope I like it! :)

  24. I take a SuperNutrition Simply One women’s vitamin every day. They claim that it reduces PMS and it seriously does! I’ve been taking one a day for several years now and I don’t think I’ll ever stop!

  25. I actually use that same green drink from Swanson, just mixed with water–and washed down with another cup of just water.

  26. Between pregnancy and nursing three kids, the prenatal vitamins are a consistent supplement for me :)

  27. Multivitamin with Probiotics and Fish Oil at night, but the best is my Vitamin C & B Complex right when I wake up… Gives me the energy I need :-)

  28. I’m a huge believer in supplements! I take vitamin B12, iron, vitamin D on a regular basis

  29. I use Apple Cider Vinegar every day. I have seen such a change in my digestion and my skin has cleared up!

  30. My doctor tells me I have to be careful with my calcium levels, so I try to take a calcium supplement. I also just started taking multivitamins every day because I haven’t been feeling as energized lately!

  31. I take some sort of multi vitamin (almost) daily. Aslong it’s chewable and doesn’t taste nasty, I’m down.

  32. I’ve actually been taking the Klean probiotic that you recommended! Also, gummy pre-natals, you know, to be prepared (not that there’s anything to be prepared for at the moment.)

  33. I try to take a multivitamin daily. I’m going to have to try your morning “cocktail,” because it looks better than similar recipes I’ve seen!:)

  34. I take a vitamin D Rx supplement once a week because my vitamin D levels are extremely low. Since taking them, I have noticed that I have less joint pain, fatigue, and moodiness. So, it’s safe to say it’s working for me! :)

  35. Oh my, what I could do with a gift certificate to that store!!! I am pumped about the coconut oil in our swag too…SCORE!!! I love green supplements, and ny faves have to be Garden of Life’s perfect green and super seed.
