So I think I may have teased a little too much with something I said in yesterday’s post

But I’m not spilling the beans just yet.  Gotta make you work for it. Winking smile

Though I won’t share THAT particular dream with you (just yet), I do have something I want to get off my chest.  Clara’s excited.

I want a tattoo.

Like bad.

I have ZERO tattoos currently.  I really have nothing against getting tattoos – I just believe that, if you’re going to do something THAT permanent to your body, you need to really like and believe in what you’re getting.

I’m sorry if you have a butterfly tattoo, but I just never really understood why someone would get a generic symbol or character.  (if you DO have a butterfly tattoo, leave a comment and let me in on your reasoning.)

Call me crazy, but I want to get the Tuesday Trainer button tattooed on me.  (my mom and a few readers just called me crazy.)

I’m not sure WHERE, but I do know WHY.

It’s twofold:  The first is obvious – I love this blog and I love the TT feature.  Even if I didn’t blog anymore, this time in my life will always be looked back upon as EXCITING, FULFILLING and just plain FUN!

The second reason:  TT was Travis’ nickname as a child.  TT stood for “Tank Travis”, because he was such a HUGE kid!  Like “not on the growth charts” huge!!

So there you have it.  I’m not sure I’ll follow through with it.  But that’s what I’ve been toying around with in my head lately.

Moving on…to Tuesday Trainer, ironically.

The theme for this week was “My Go-To Vanity Move”.  I loved this week because I got to hear about everyone’s “trouble” areas and where we focus our attention.  Most people, like myself, said Abs or Legs

I kinda feel as though we should get over ourselves and our “perceived faults or blemishes” and just promote self-loveBut I’m also a woman.  A human woman who doesn’t really love every single thing about my body.  So we’ll embrace these vanity moves and start working toward self-love with our firmer thighs and six packs.  K?

No workout today – just a “Vanity Move” spotlight, if you will.  The BIGGEST week for Tuesday Trainer – 14 participants!!   Listed in the order in which I received them.  (In this case, the early girl gets the worm top row of the table.)

QUESTION:  WHERE should I get my TT button tattoo?  Do you have any tattoos?  Where?

  1. Didn’t comment yesterday, but of course, I love this post! (Great work, everyone!) …you know I have one tattoo on my rib cage of a tree…and want more! Well, maybe one more. Or to get this one fixed up a bit and changed a little. Mikey has one but unless I’m 100% sure of my next, he’s not really in favor of more, so I’ll likely not get one. Always have ideas, always have the urge, but I have to really know what it is.

Until I heard that “TT” was Travis’ nickname, I DID think you were crazy…just a little bit. ;) “Tuesday Trainer” on your body? What if something happens and you’re no longer defined by that? BUT, with “TT” and the extra meaning because of your husband, I can understand that. :D They are fun, a little addicting, pricey, and you can totally stand the pain – we’re women! We can tolerate a lot.

If you want it and Travis is okay with it (seeing as you are one flesh), ;) I say go for it! Kinda fun…wish I was going to get one w/you (and Katie in her comment above!) in CO!

  2. I have lots and lots of tattoos and really don’t “regret” any of them, but if you don’t have any DON’T DO IT!!! Omg, I just had a serious mom moment. But really, keep that virgin skin. xo

  3. We’ve had this conversation. Tattoos are the best! DO it! I’m getting my 4th in two weeks so you need to get your first soon! I suggest your ankle or shoulder blade. :)

  4. Lindsay, I’ve been planning my tattoo for about two years. Seems sort of obsessive, but I really want it to be right (it’s “permanent” after all!). Part of that has been designing it & finding the right artist. I don’t get generic tattoos either. It should be meaningful or at least very much about the art. I think I am really close to finally getting mine…maybe within the month.

  5. I have a shooting star tattoo on my foot with 3 smaller stars coming off of it (one for me, my sister, and my brother). My sister and I both got matching tattoos for my 18th birthday. Many people thought I would regret, I was too young to know, but we had talked about it since I was about 12…maybe not but for a while! ha I think once you have that feeling you are certain will always mean something to you, no matter if it’s currently in your life or not, something that will always hold a place in your heart, as your blog and tt will, you should go for it!!!
I too don’t exactly understand how people can just get random symbols or pictures tattooed on themselves. I think about things way too much and believe everything must have a meaning..ha

P.S. looks like a killer workout! Can’t wait to give this one a try!

  6. I’m a big fan of getting tattoos as adult- when you’re old enough to know better. I got a big old dragon tattoo in the middle of my upper back when I was at spring break in Florida freshman year of college. I thought it was awesome for about 5 minutes. Having it glaring at everyone on my wedding day 12 years later? Not so awesome. My tattoo means nothing to me- it’s the same one Angelina Jolie had on her arm, and it was impulsive. I want to have it removed someday.
Being older and wiser- I’m not opposed to getting any more ink done, but I would think about it a lot more this time!
For your tat- go for it! I love that it has a lot of meaning to you. As for the location? That all depends on how much you want it to be seen. I’m a big fan of “on the hip” myself. I also like feet tattoos. :)

  7. Oh my gosh…please wait until you get out here to get your tattoo. I will go with you. I might even get another one myself. I have FOUR..one of them was a spur of the moment thing (the week before I got married) and I love it so much. I’m not telling where it is.

  8. I have two tattoos. :) And… I can’t wait to hear about your dreams. :) YOU deserve all the blessings that come your way! I want to know!!!! Glad you had a rest day too!

Love ya! Thansk for letting us be on the list with our less than mediocre video. :)

  9. I do have a tattoo – I got in college and my parents FLIPPED out. It says “Love” right side up and upside down, designed similar to the Illuminati’s words in “Angels and Demons”. I got it after a trip to Rome and reading that book – love is the most important thing in the world to me. My husband doesn’t really like tattoos though so I probably won’t get anymore.
