**The RoadID Giveaway winner is #16 – Kimberly!!  Email me, Kim, and we’ll get you squared away!**

———–

It snowed here last night!!  Not a lot, only like an inch, but it’s enough to make me want to use my Crock Pot and bake brownies all day.

So basically just like every other day.

Unfortunately, I STILL have to go teach Aqua Power at 11.  The pool is heated and covered, but still?!!?  There’s something not right about that.

Some random Friday fun for my lovelies:

1.  I’m Klutz McGee!

I’ve always known this about myself (I trip easily. I’m not graceful.  Bricks at Carolina used to just POP out of the sidewalk for me to trip over.)  Yesterday, just solidified my theory.

Not only did I somehow manage to fling black bean hummus ALL OVER my computer….

But I also defied all laws of physics when I turned over half a bottle of Downy Unstoppables into our dryer.  Which is front loading.  And was nowhere NEAR the lavender smelling pellets.

You don’t put Unstoppables in your dryer.  They’re made to dissolve in water.  So I spent 10+ minutes, scraping tiny peebles out so they wouldn’t ruin my dryer.  I KNOW I didn’t get them all out.

My clothes smell fantastic.

2.  I made Averie’s Vanilla Avocado Banana Ice Cream!!

And it was everything I’d dreamed of and more!  Creamy.  Sweet.  Avocado-ey.  I even omitted the sugar and it was still amazing!  A tip though – once you’ve made it and put it in your dish, bang the dish on your counter to get rid of any air bubbles – wish I’d done that to mine!

There’s still a little in the freezer.  There won’t be tonight.  Make this!!!

3.  I’m Klutz McGee – the Public Speaker.

I’m hiring out to speak at Bar and Bat Mitzvahs.

No.

Just Bat Mitzvahs.  Speaking in front of boys makes me nervous.

On Monday night, I’m speaking in front of a group of 45 professional women.  The topic?  Getting Healthy In The New Year.  I haven’t prepared anything yet.  They also misspelled my name on the program.  I’m Linda Wright.

Flattering really.

4.  Drawing a blank.

I honestly can’t think of a 4th thing.  We’re watching 30 Rock now on Netflix (it’s 8:15pm on Thursday night) and this show needs ALL of my attention.

I suppose I could have just titled this post, “Four Things Friday” and it still would have had some alliteration.  Klutz McGee doesn’t have forethought.

For that matter, Linda Wright might not either.  15 minutes of hand-shadow puppetry should do the trick, right?

5. BLEND Ticket Sales

      1. I’m staying with my cousin for a night or two and in a hotel the other nights. My husband is coming too (NOT to the retreat!) and we’re flying in Wed afternoon and home Monday morning. We’re going to hike and do other stuff, and then he’ll hang out with his best friend (who lives in Boulder) while I do retreat stuff. :) We LOVE Colorado and visit as often as we can!

  1. Hey Linda- I want to know about the whole no sugar thing too (because I’m nosy like that). I can’t even identify some of the things on my computer. Not good. I’m so bummed I can’t come to Blend. :( I have a race that weekend. Poo poo. Love ya! Hope you’re enjoying your weekend.

  2. Oh dear, I didn’t realize the Blend tickets were going to be so limited! I’m trying to pull something out of rear to be able to afford the lodging too (for some reason I thought I had more time on that part, doh!). God willing, I’ll register on Sunday! ;)

  3. I wish I could come to the retreat, Linda. I’d really love to meet you in person and hear all of your tips for professional women. I’m not a professional, by the way. But I’m sure I could still learn something. And who knows…maybe someday you’ll run a workshop for unemployed people who would rather eat snacks than vacuum the living room.

  4. No sugar in 13 days?! Way to go, Lindsay! Just as a personal thing, or for something else (if you don’t mind me asking)? Either way, nice work. :)

I can’t believe I can’t go to Blend! :( It will be good to spend time with family but of all the weeks of the year for their to be an available spot for us at the timeshare… bummer on the timing. But you know I’ll make a plan (Lord willing!) to be there in 2013! :D I know you guys have worked hard and it will be a wonderful event.

    Happy Freezing (er…Friday)!

  5. Public speaking – how cool! I love speaking in public, although I do still get nervous before events. I’ve never done an event like you’re doing though – how cool!!

I’ll be at my computer on Sunday (I hope), still no roomie but I’m sure you guys will pair me up with cool chicks! =)

  6. The blend retreat sounds like so much fun. Unfortunately, my lack of job is going to prevent me from going this year, but hopefully it’ll be an annual thing!

    I’m klutzy too.

  7. Wow that Blend Retreat sounds like a blast!

And thanks for making and blogging about my avocado ice cream. I can’t believe you omitted the sugar and STILL think it’s fabulous :) That’s impressive of your tastebuds. Mine always tell me to add the sugar :)

    Have an awesome weekend, Lindsay!
