We hike on Thanksgiving morning.

We nap on Thanksgiving afternoon.

We eat around 6 on Thanksgiving night.  Then again around 9.

These are all traditions, for which I’m thankful for.

The hike, however, just sets the tone for the day.  Relaxed.  Beautiful.  Blessed.  Being outside, in God’s creation, with the people you love, breathing in His richness.

Psalm 106:1 – Praise the Lord!  Give THANKS to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever!!

  5. I love the photos in this post – looks like a fun morning was had by all! I’m thankful for the ability to run (even when it’s not always fun), thoughtful family who went out of their way to make vegan-friendly food at Thanksgiving, a long weekend of relaxation, and my wonderful hubby & cute puppies! :)

  6. What a beautiful hike! Sounds like the perfect way to start any day, and especially Thanksgiving.

Hope you and yours are having the best Thanksgiving ever.

Also, PS- “shagadelic” may just be my new favorite word.
And PPS- how do you manage to look so pretty when you’ve been hiking AND you’re wearing a beanie?? I look like a strawberry marshmallow when I’m hiking in the cold air!
