Aka “Here comes a photodump because it’s Labor Day and you shouldn’t be inside on your computer reading blogs anyway.”

Happy Labor Day, friends!!  I hope you’re enjoying a restful day off and spending time with those special people you love.  Travis has the day off so we’re off to an early MoveMore workout then a family hike to Yellow Mountain tower.  I’m sure there’ll be a good cheeseburger and a milkshake thrown in to all that healthy-ness too.  Gotta live these holidays up!

The past few days have been filled with fun and family and food and all the other f’s that one can think of.  We celebrated Henry’s 7th birthday (which was yesterday) with a special “boys only” party (laser tag and cupcakes).  I cannot believe I have a seven year old.  He’ll be jetting off to college in a blink.  I’m just blessed to be his mama – he’s one amazing guy.

Here’s a little glimpse of our weekend.  Enjoy!

(best flavor!!  These Combat bars are chewy and wonderful – like a soft batch cookie.)

(My belated birthday present from Travis –>a CUSTOM-BUILT weight sled!!!  He had a local machinery shop build this sled from the ground up.  You can pull it or push it (adding weights or not).  I can’t wait to try it out in the backyard this week.)

QUESTION:  Any special Labor Day plans??  If you have kids, what age is your oldest?

splendid…lindsay

  1. Bonnie says:

Love the weekend snapshots! Also love the gift from Travis – and congrats on 1 year of Move More Fitness! God is blessing you with success!

I watch IIFYM videos all the time…But I have no intention of trying because I think tracking would not be good for my psyche (although I love the results many get!)… What are your thoughts about it? Would love to dialogue about it!

    • lindsaymwright says:

I LOVE watching them too…but I don’t think I could ever track macros or calories again. Ever. It’s just not safe territory for me. I also think it could lead to starving yourself during the day and then binge eating at night. Not for me. Not something I’d recommend to clients either. But some people love it.

  2. Ann says:

Love your blog…I have four kids and my oldest is ten years old.

Quick question for you…where did you get that yummy looking Combat bar in birthday cake flavor? It looks solo good!
