Happy post-4th Monday to ya!! Did you party hard??
We totally didn’t. We didn’t even stay for the fireworks (we DID however watch them from our bay window while eating ice cream). All day on the 4th it rained off and on but cleared up beautifully for the fireworks show. With the rain, it just didn’t feel “holiday-ish”.” How was YOUR 4th??
A couple of other highlights –> on Friday, my first cousin, Ben got married so we celebrated that. The ceremony was short and sweet but held at the Asheville Arboretum. What a spectacular place!! I want to take the kids back there. On Saturday I had a fun “Stars & Stripes”-themed workout for my Trackstars group. Thanks to a workout I remembered Kindal posting a while ago, we started the day off with a great sweat (I modified it slightly and we did a play on 7/4/2015 – 7 reps, 4 exercises for 20 minutes and 15 seconds). Then we chilled the rest of the day before heading to play games. Sunday was another chill day of church, naps, good food and USA women’s soccer!
Here’s a little glimpse….
^Henry fell in deep, mad love with these Star Wars light-up shoes. The deal is if he can run 3 laps around the track without stopping, we’ll go back and get them. The secret is: I already bought them because I KNOW that he’ll be able to run the 3 laps. ^
QUESTION: Did you watch fireworks where you live?? Best thing you ATE on the 4th?
