After a long weekend.
I kinda want to complain but we had such a great time the last three days that I’ll just drink some extra coffee this morning and let Monday be. I LOVE long weekends, especially with a newborn because it means an extra pair of hands are available. The kids and I are getting into our own groove while Travis is at work during the week, but it’s still always nice to have that extra help.
This holiday weekend was just perfect. We got a few things checked off our “honey do” lists, I got a massage (!!!) and we even pulled out the slip n’ slide. PLUS FIREWORKS!!! We can see them from our back porch so we watch them in our pjs. There was plenty of yummy summer foods…a couple of workouts…lots of soccer…even more ice cream…and a NAP yesterday! Just a great weekend all around!
Here’s a glimpse…
^^another reading apprehension scavenger hunt! he asks for them every day.^^
^^locals – we meet every Saturday at 7:30am for a fun, sweaty time! FREE (for now) and open to anyone who wants to come!^^
^^kinda gross picture but i wanted to show how we grill our meats. every week, i buy a big package of skinless, boneless chicken breasts and then cut them into strips using kitchen shears. far less expensive than buying chicken tenderloins AND it cuts grilling time in half.^^
^^seriously THE best!^^
^^fyi: honey i shrunk the kids is on netflix!^^
^^i need “smore” of this smore blizzard. yup. went there.^^
^^thanks for the recommendation, Kat! love it so far!^^
