scenes from the weekend

Watch in amazement as I attempt to turn all of 3 (slightly hazy iPhone) pictures off as an interesting, worthwhile post.

This should be interesting.  Yes.  Watch in amazement.  (You’re getting verrrry sleeeepy…)

So the weekend.  It was wonderful.  People always complain about losing an hour of sleep during the Spring time change, but it didn’t bother us one bit.  I gladly welcome the extra sunlight during the evening – makes me want to fire up the grill and take family walks and make Travis play with my hair.  Fall is my favorite season, but Spring comes in a close second.

Saturday

Highlights:

Pool workout with Katy, my baby shower (!!!) hosted by Sarah, a family walk, temps in the 70s, movie night (The Muppets) and leftovers (Enchiladas)

I applaud your stick-with-it-ness.

QUESTION:  Tell me one fun thing you did this weekend!  Time change bug you?

  1. I stayed up way too late on Saturday night, and then realized that I’d also lose an hour…so I didn’t love my lack of sleep. But then when the evening came and the sun was out so much later, I cared less about my sleep and LOVED it!

I love that photo of you and your kiddos running in the sunshine! So cute!

  2. Looks like it was a wonderful weekend! Would you mind posting about your water workouts? I’ve been wanting to incorporate more pool time into my workouts to switch things up, but I don’t want to just do laps and get bored.
