Hey!! How’s it hanging? <-yeah. I still say that in real life. Hoping your Tuesday is off to a smashing start! We’ve got a full day ahead – School, gym. Henry has a dentist appointment (remember that my mama is a hygienist so he’s been talking about going to see his Nana nonstop!) I have a couple of conference calls this afternoon and then my sister’s baby shower to host!
I was thinking about doing a few pregnancy posts in the coming weeks and wanted to feel around for interest. Which of these topics would you like to see a post on?
- What type of childbirth we plan on having (natural, epidural, cesarean)?
- Thoughts on nursing Porter
- Post-partum fitness plans
- How many kids do we want/birth control after pregnancy?
What is baby up to at 33 weeks?
(from BabyCenter.com)
- Baby weighs a little over 4 pounds and has passed the 17-inch mark (about the size of a pineapple).
- He’s rapidly losing that wrinkled, alien look and his skeleton is hardening. The bones in his skull aren’t fused together, which allows them to move and slightly overlap, thus making it easier for him to fit through the birth canal.
How is mama feeling?
And for shits and giggles…here’s 13 weeks, 23 weeks and yesterday!
Fitness
Still chugging along! I must freak people out in Bootcamp and Zumba because every.single.day someone comes up to me and asks how long I’ll be working out. The answer is always the same: “As long as I can!”
Here’s the rundown from last week:
- Monday: Bootcamp + 20 min. ArcTrainer
- Tuesday: PowerHouse Class
- Wednesday: AM: Bootcamp, PM: 2 mile stroller walk
- Thursday: Zumba
- Friday: AM: Bootcamp, PM: 2 mile stroller walk
- Saturday: Zumba!
- Sunday: 4 mile walk (by MYSELF –> oh so glorious)
There should have been more rest last week, but the weather was just TOO nice!
Sleep
It was hit or miss this last week. Clara had a very poor week of sleeping (she has eczema that keeps her scratching at nighttime), so some nights were rough.
Gender?
BOY! Porter Killian
Belly Button?
OUTTIE!
Rings?
On.
Oh the fun things you can find at the doctor’s office!
Stretch Marks?
Still none!
Movement?
TONS! He’s still head down.
Symptoms
- Nausea
- LOTS of contractions –> most nights I have an hour or two with braxton hicks contractions that make me take notice (like 5-6 an hour). Then I’ll go to bed and feel perfectly fine.
- Pressure. Lots of pressure down there.
Cravings
Tart and spicy. Just how I like my men.

QUESTION: Chime in on the question at the start! Or tell me: if you had to pick between SWEET or SALTY, which would it be?
splendid…lindsay
Hi Lindsay! I’m pregnant at 33 weeks too! I’ m writing to you from Italy and you are a very hard mummy!! !Here in Italy if you are pregnant you can’t go at gym :( …..this is a very bad thing…so…. referred to your question i prefer salty!!!!!
Oh no!! Are they worried about endangering the baby?
Happy pregnancy!!
would be very interested in posts on all of those topics….right up my alley!
Awww you’re totally adorable lol!! Love your pics & love that you are continuing to workout while pregnant. I’m single & have no children lol but when I’m there I would like to do the same. Seen so many of my fav bloggers doing it & it’s inspiring. We had nice weather on the east coast this weekend & then HERE came SNOW ugh HAHA!! :-D
love the comparison photo ;)
thinking of you always!!! hugs
Would love to see posts on all of the topics you mentioned!
Love your belly!
Love this!!! :) I’m 22 weeks and I love reading inspiring pregnant women who are active! :)
You look great! :)
I love your updates so much! I feel clara, I have the same issue. Stinks! I have some tallow lotion coming in the mail to try out. I’ll let you know how it is! Also neem oil is supposed to be really good. I’ve tried it only once because it basically stinks.
I’m nosy….so all of the topics! haha.
Gotta love those people at the gym who think it’s dangerous to work out while pregnant….the best was when I showed up to teach my classes AFTER my due date. My classes were like “ummmm what are you doing here?!” Hahahaa. A super healthy baby was born. BAM. Keep up the great work!
I’d love to hear about your plans for how many kids you guys would like to have. My cravings have definitely been of the salty variety lately. I think my body wants is reacting to all this working out!
I wish I had taken better pictures for comparisons! I’d like to read about your birth plan AND post-partum fitness plan since I’m at the same stage as you are!
You continue to look absolutely adorable! I hear you on the workouts — I’m going to keep them up as long as I can too. I can only imagine how much pressure you have down there. My midwife says it gets worse with each pregnancy, yikes!
I think you work out more than me and I’m not pregnant, haha. Keep it up girl! :)
Sweet and salty – together. Chocolate covered pretzels…. mmmm. If I hhhad to chose, I’d probably go with salty, but only if I had a beer to go with it.
What a fun comparison photo picture! Isn’t it funny how we can feel so big in the first and second trimester, only to look back later and laugh at how little we were? :-)
Great topics! I’d love to hear about your post-pregnancy fitness plans and your future with kids (last topic you posed). As for cravings? Mine have been in the form of bread and carbs! I’m not a no-carb girl, although I watch how much I’m taking in, but a piece of toast just hits.the.spot lately! :)
Can you write posts on all of those things?? haha My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for about 2 1/2 years now and even though its been a tough journey I just KNOW its going to happen so and am oh so curious about all of the things pregnancy and child birth!
I would love to hear about your birth plan – especially since you’ve done it before!
As a fellow preggo, I’d love to hear about your post-partum fitness plans. (I’ve already been planning my races for NEXT spring!)
I’ll also be a newbie to breastfeeding, so if you have any nursing tips I’d love to hear them.
Good luck in your final weeks!
