I gotta make this short and sweet.

My writing time today was cut short by two little demon children who didn’t want to nap.  Now I’ve got about 10 minutes before I leave to teach Step.

I kid.  I kid.  About the demon part.

Sadly, the no napping part is true.

Oh and I guess I should clear up something from yesterday.

T and I actually DO know how to manage our Subscribe and Save.  We know which buttons to push and stuff.

We’re just lazy.

And planning a peanut butter-filled Pool Party on May 31st for anyone who wants to come!

Back to TT.

I’m cracking the whip and we’re getting back into the swing of things!

If you’re one of my new(ish) readers (WELCOME!), you might not know what Tuesday Trainer is.

(We’ve actually been doing TT now for 31 weeks!  And that’s even skipping some weeks!  Amazing, no?!)

003

Amazed that you’re slightly turned on by this picture.  You are.

Tuesday Trainer is a blogger-supported workout co-op.  Every Thursday, I tell you the “theme” for the upcoming week and show you my move.  You have until the following Monday to film and submit your move.  On Tuesday, I create a workout, solely made up of the submissions.  If you go back and look through the archives, there are workouts for EVERYTHING.  I kind of love this little “move library” that you guys have helped me create!

So that’s TT in a nutshell. It’s my heart.

The theme for this week’s Tuesday Trainer is BALANCE!!

I LOVE LOVE (just typed “lobe”) balance work!  As an NASM-certified trainer, that’s where all of the training programs begin.  The foundation.  BALANCE!

On Tuesday, I’ll talk more about why it’s important and how to incorporate balance moves into your weightlifting regimen.  For now, you just need to know how to upload YOUR balance move!

Here’s mine:

A few guidelines:

  • ANYONE can participate – blogger or not.
  • If you DO blog, be sure to introduce yourself AND your blog.
  • Feel free to give tips on proper execution and technique.
  • DON’T include a number of reps. I’ll do that part.
  • If your move isn’t correct, meaning improper form or instruction, I will not be able to feature it. Do your homework and get it right!!
  • On Tuesday, grab the Tuesday Trainer button, to provide your readers with an easy link to the workout! Simply copy the text in my side bar and paste it into your HTML code.

**DEADLINE for submitting moves is Monday night, the 21st, at 8pm EST. Again, go here to learn how to upload your video!**

Excited to see what you have!

Tomorrow, I have a little vlog planned, so you’ll get to see my shining face two days in a row.  Lucky.

QUESTION:  Favorite personality quality when looking for a mate.  And go!  <-ME?  Sense of humor.  And it’s gotta be smart humor, not fart humor.  Although, I admit, I’d laugh at that too.

  1. I love this theme, and I actually thought of a good exercise to train balance. I’ll try to make time to make a video (for the 1st time! I hope I get it right!)!
Oh, and I just can’t stand a guy that doesn’t respect me, even if he makes me laugh (which is also a very good point in favor of any guy!).

  2. Love the video intro. Oh and I have to say its nice that someone else has to deal with the no nap thing too once in awhile. It’s a doozy. :) and… Sense of humor for sure!!! :) I like the bad boy that can make you laugh.

  3. i am so coming to the PB filled pool party. I’ll bring the jelly slide.

    p.s.
can’t believe we haven’t done balance and can’t believe that intro. POWERFUL!

  4. Can I send in a video of me hobbling after running the marathon and all the balance I’m trying to keep by walking upright as my workout move? No? Dang.

Miss you! We need to plan a time for a hike and/or day date with the families. After your pb pool party, of course. That simply must take priority. ;)

  5. Lindsay, I just need to tell you that your blog has quickly become a new favourite of mine :) I look forward to reading from you every day :)

I am so happy to hear that TT is your heart. I thought that was so sweet! It made me smile :)

Anyways, to answer your question. I am the same way! There has to be humour!

  6. I’m in!
Love balance work; it’s the foundation of a weekly Bosu class that I teach. Newbies are always so surprised at how difficult balance work is!
Off to the gym I go!

  7. What a great theme!! As an former ballet dancer, balance moves are my favorite! Okay I really can’t flake this time!! I even know how to use my smartphone now! :)

hmmm personality quality in a mate…they gotta be a bit of a goofball because i’m a bit of a goofball…if they took themselves (and life) too seriously it would never work out…also, they gotta be a Believer or it’s a deal breaker :)

  8. Hmm favorite personality quality when choosing a mate … I don’t know if I can just choose 1! Kindness/thoughtfulness is one, and sense of humor is another. One of the many things I love about my husband is that we can have the serious conversations when needed, we can pray together when needed, he will listen to me when needed … but then we can also be goofy little kids laughing and chasing each other around the house. ;) He’s the best.

  9. I love balance work. When I started working with a trainer balance moves were my favorite. I think I may submit again : )

my favorite mate trait is easy going. I’m so high strung I need someone who “balances” me out.
