A mere glimpse into my MANY, MANY lists!!

(If I’m done marking through everything on the list, I toss it.  If there’s like one or two things left on the list, but the piece of paper is muddled with mark-thrus, I start a new list with those two last things and toss the old one.

Annnnd…I’m surprised I landed a  husband.)

A list we made about 6 months ago…

Lists are fun… losts, even funner.  It’s a word.

The “Master List” –  on a clip board.  So I can take it from room to room.  And be snoody.  Clipboards BEG for snoody-ism.

One might assume that with all these lists, I’d have a handle on things….

Annnnd…this is what I’m doing right now.

P.S.  Did you notice Mall Madness and Dream Phone on not one, BUT TWO of these lists?  It’s the important stuff in life, guys!

Have a wonderful Wednesday!!  We leave tonight!  Safe traveling prayers are welcome!

QUESTION:  When was the last big trip you took?  Where did you go?

  1. Oh my gosh, I could NEVER pack/plan for a trip without a list! And I am the same way with adding old to-do’s to new lists…and I’m also really good at forgetting/losing lists! Lol I can’t even tell you how many times I’ve made a grocery list only to realize I never took it out of my purse until I’m in the checkout line and reaching for my wallet. Oh look! I forgot to get the bread…then I debate, “to get out of line, or not to get out of line”! Ugh!

My last BIG trip was to California last summer…which was actually my FIRST big trip (all by myself…guess I’m a big girl now!) It was a little scary at first, but I ended up having a great time and enjoying so many new experiences! Of course, as per usual since I’m the world’s worst procrastinator, I was up till all hours of the night before my flight cramming things in my suitcase! Why is it so hard to find the motivation to pack!?

Have fun and be safe! And I hope that coffee does the trick! ;)

  2. Your lists are amazing. Definitely put mine to shame. My husband is a last minute packer and it drives me nuts. That means that I end up packing everything for the whole family while he throw a shirt and a couple of boxers in at the last minute. No fair!! Have an awesome trip!!

  3. Lists are my life savers… I honestly would never get anything done without a list. Besides, its fun to cross stuff off lists!

Although – you won’t be needing skis or anything like that when you head out, all our snow disappeared! :(

  4. I love this, only because I too am obsessed with lists! I make lists to make lists, and will write things down just to cross them off! haha I love it! Travel safely!! Enjoy your stay!!! Will pray for safe travels!

  5. Yo girl! I cannot not wait to meet you! I’ve been a crazy list maker my whole lie as well. In college during class when I would make my to-do lists to stay awake.
Can’t wait for dream phone! I haven’t seen one in years. I was all about steve and is luscious hair!
And I spy eat at sushi den – ummm yes please!

  6. A year and a half ago, my husband and I moved to Texas from Buffalo, NY. We drove the whole way down (23 hours!) with an (almost) 2 year old. Road trips with toddlers can be done! DVD player, books, and lots of snacks are what kept her busy. Good luck with your trip, hope you have an amazing time! God bless!

  7. I am the same way about lists. One of my husbands friends told him that when the lists became post-it notes covering every surface in the house, it might me time to think about building me a padded room ;) I even have master lists in the computer for camping and racing so I can customize and print for each trip, but not have to write every tiny thing down every time (and risk forgetting some of it!)
Our last big trip was to Massachusetts to visit family last year. 24 hours of driving with a one-year-old. It went much better than I expected. You guys will have a great time!

  8. My last big trip was probably my honeymoon to Hawaii in August. We took a last minute trip last weekend that required lots of lists, too! I’m sure you’ll get it all done in time. :)

  9. Hmm the last really big trip was probably our honeymoon to Costa Rica. But we also took a trip down to Marco Island, Florida over Christmas break and had an amazing time. We have a European cruise planned for this summer … that require lots of packing!!

  10. I love making lists, too! I never go shopping without a grocery list, I’d forget half of the things I need. My last big trip was a road trip to Croatia with my husband and his two teen kids. That was 1.5 years ago. So much fun!
Our next adventure will (hopefully) be another road trip, but this time we plan to follow the Danube River to the Black Sea, with stops at Vienna, Budapest, Odessa, etc. Let’s hope we can make it happen soon.
    Have fun at your trip!

  11. I make lists of lists I need to make. Am I crazy? I also had a ton to do yesterday and I didn’t get a single thing done. I did however, put my last 5K of my 31st year in my SmashBook. LOL (It’s a scrapbook for sloppy, impatient, busy, non-scrapbookers) And I went to the Pole Dance Studio for the Student Showcase that I planned to go to almost a month ago. I consider this a freaking miracle since it’s the first time in 6 years that I made plans to do something for me that ACTUALLY worked out to my advantage. : D
Last time my family or I took a trip that wasn’t just for the day was 8 years ago to see my in-laws in TN. We’re always broke or I have exams and papers or family issues (like stupid cancer) or a broken car, so we rarely leave the county. This totally sucks since we live in a metropolitan area full of tourists and stupidity. Some days the douchebaggery gets a bit overwhelming.
Have a great day. (It’s good for the soul to have days of sheer laziness and slacking)

  12. Oh, I so want to go with you. I can’t wait for the upcoming photos. :-) Good luck with your packing.
My last big trip was in January this year. I went to Morocco and visited the beautiful Atlas mountains. So, so cool! :-)

  13. good luck packing! I used to be really good about it and would start days in advance but for some reason things have changed and I just don’t anymore! I am actually going to Disney on Saturday! Praying for safe travels!

  14. Ah good luck with packing! I’m doing the same as you and laying on the couch right now. I’ve never gone away more than 2 weeks, so I can’t even imagine how much you have to pack! Good luck!
