Long runs. Every Saturday, for the last 3 months. Long runs.
And now that the race is over and I’m not training for anything in particular, I’m kind of wondering what to do with this day.
Oh, there will be a workout. Maybe even a run of some sort. Who knows.
But I’m kind of loving the fact that I have nothing scheduled. No 2 hour run that takes me away from these guys.
What to do??
I don’t know. And I’m rather happy with that answer.
QUESTION: What are YOU doing today? Anything fun?

Sometimes it’s okay to not have an answer to that type of question. One can always be lazy for the whole day :)
I’m a new reader of your blog :)

I remember feeling the same way right after the Air Force half marathon – I didn’t know what to do with myself after sticking to a training schedule for more than three months! I’m sure you found something fabulous and fit to do this lovely Saturday!
Katie @ Talk Less, Say More says:
Spend the day in your bathrobe, drinking coffee and playing with your adorable kiddies. Don’t worry about anything else. :)
I went to the gym, spent a little under 2 hours at work (had to…) and now I’m getting the random things done around my place in case I end up moving in a week. Nothing super fun, but I’ll take productive!

Love the family pic! I did Bikram Yoga this morning, weight trained and played with my little puppy :) Enjoy your day!

I’m enjoying the quiet of an empty house and reading HG today. Got my run in early with the dog and then had a massage. Life is good!
Kelly @ No Sugar Sweet Life says:
What a cute pic of your family :) Enjoy your day off!!! You’d be proud – I made a long LIST to take to the grocery/market today. I am going to “try” doing all my grocery shopping on Saturdays and make/create meals throughout the week with whatever I got. So I stocked up on lots of veggies, fruits, lean proteins and accessories. If we have to scrounge by Friday, so be it. Hopefully the thoughtful planning will help my waistline AND my checkbook!

I ran my 10 miler early this morning. I’m trying to get out at the butt crack of dawn so I have the day to spend time with the husb and kiddos.
Enjoy yourself whatever you do today!
Katie @ Raisins&Apples says:
Whatever you do {or don’t do?}, I know you’ll enjoy it!
I already did the fun stuff this morning and now I’m trying to figure out how to get this turkey out of my back yard!
Lisa says:
I never have had to train for a run, but at least there’s more time for you to spend out with your family :) Enjoy!
Ashley @ My Food 'N' Fitness Diaries says:
enjoy your extra two hours!! we plan on pulling weeds in the yard (fun, right?), i need to do my run, and then we’re going over to our friends’ house for a barbecue. i love when the weather is nice!
Katie @ Peace Love & Oats says:
Haha I know how you feel! I’m tapering early due to plantar faciitis and a knee issue (my race is next sunday) so I’m going to just try for 6 miles today. It feel so weird to not be prepping for a 12 miler! enjoy your saturday!
chelsey @ clean eating chelsey says:
Ooo I totally know how you feel about that – after any of my halves are over, I’m always like hmmmmm what to do with all of this extra time? It’s quite the conundrum!
