**Last day to enter the Chobani Champions giveaway!! Go enter! Winners announced tomorrow!**
Hi Guys!
I’m sure you missed me sorely (<-weird saying) yesterday, but I had a bit of family drama to deal with. The short story – Travis’ little brother (a newly adopted 12 year old from China) was found unconscious on the ground, while the children were playing outside. They rushed him to the hospital, during which time, his vitals were stable, but he was unresponsive. After some tests at the hospital, he regained consciousness and his vitals all returned to normal. He’s at home now, but will have to go back for more testing in the coming days!
Thank you to everyone who prayed and sent emails after that hurried tweet I sent out! Means a lot. Knowing that something horrible has happened to a loved one (and a brand new adoptee!) and there was nothing I could do about it…I hate that feeling worse than anything!
So that all happened Tuesday night, then Wednesday morning, I got called in to sub for three classes back to back. The first two classes were STELLAR, if I do say so myself!! Lots of sweat!
During my third class, Cardio Dance (which I’d never taken or taught before, mind you), I was called to the Kid Zone, where I found a very sick Henry. I had to go back into class and tell them I was sorry, but that he came first.
I think it was just God’s way of saving those poor people from an hour of the Macarena and Tootsie Roll. I know I’ve alluded to my two left feet – I don’t exactly dance. I really had NOTHING prepared to teach that class. Thank you for puking, Henry!!
Anything for you, Mom!
We’ve just had a rough couple of days. The weekend can’t come soon enough!
Ok…so moving on. Tuesday Trainer is going to be FUN this week, ya’ll!! Like “making out on the couch” fun!
Why?
Well, next Tuesday just happens to be Valentine’s Day, a fact that reader (and Words With Friends opponent), Olviya, pointed out! I took her idea and decided on the following theme:
COUPLE’S MOVES!
P.G. Rated!!

Here is my move – With Travis and Clara’s help:
**Just like I said in the video, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO HAVE A PARTNER TO PARTICIPATE! Also, your partner doesn’t have to be your husband or boyfriend! It can just be someone you grab at the gym or a friend or your sister!**
A few guidelines:
- ANYONE can participate – blogger or not.
- If you do blog, be sure to introduce yourself AND your blog.
- Feel free to give tips on proper execution and technique.
- DON’T include a number of reps. I’ll do that part.
- If your move isn’t correct, meaning improper form or instruction, I will not be able to feature it. Do your homework and get it right!!
- On Tuesday, grab the Tuesday Trainer button, to provide your readers with an easy link to the workout! Simply copy the text in my side bar and paste it into your HTML code.
**DEADLINE for submitting moves is Monday night, the 13th, at 8pm EST. Again, go here to learn how to upload your video!**
Travis has the day off, so we’re headed to Asheville! An hour long road trip with a sick toddler and sassy Clara. Hmmm…maybe not the smartest.
QUESTION: You’re stranded on an island. Name three beauty products you MUST have! Me? Tweezers, Dove deodorant and Burt’s Bees chapstick.
splendid…lindsay
LOVE THIS!!! Your daughter is adorable!! So creative!!!
thanks, Jess!! You should film something!
Many prayers for the little bro and that this is an isolated incident! You make sweaty look gorgeous, btw ;)
praying for you and your dad, Christin!!
Love this weeks TT.Clara is adorable! I know you must get tired of hearing that:)
I submitted a video (for the first time) this week…Let’s hope I did it correctly:)
AWESOME!! Going to go watch it now!! And thanks again for the idea, lady!
Deodorant. Toothpaste. Conditioner. :)
So sorry to hear about the tragic accident with the newest member of the fam. Poor lil guy! Hopefully he pulls through everything like a trooper.
Hope Travis’ brother is okay. How scary!
Can I bring the internet on an island? I’d bring that.
First: Sending prayers your way for your family and your little man. Second: Your kids are absolutely adorable. Third: I would bring soap, toothpaste, and a razor..(it could double as a weapon!)
man..I like the way you think, Amy!!
hmmm deodorant, toothpaste, sunscreen (LOTS)
Great theme. GREAT theme. Love the Clara loves the moves so much. Too cute. Writing you an email right now. Sending prayers. Hope the road trip goes well.
Thank you, thank you, thank you friend!! Made your 3 ing. fudge today – going to give it a try here in a second!
ugh! I’m a terrible blog friend! I’m so sorry. I haven’t been reading many blogs and I rarely comment on the ones I do read, but I’ve been having such drama in my life that I completely forgot to read yours! I’m so sorry about all this drama for you. I wish I could help you out. As for TT, I’m on a slight exercise detox so I don’t think it would be the healthiest thing for me, but kudos to all the participants!
emailing you now!
I love this idea! And she is SO adorable! I love the laugh!
Looks like a great workout too! Really targeting those not so lovely “love handles” ha
How cute!!!! :)
I love this theme. I may just have to rope Shane into filming it with me. Heh.
Yep! Need to see Shane in action!
I’m so sorry to hear about your little brother. So scary. I hope that everything’s ok!
oh wow! praying for you! please keep us updated on the situation. So scary. How are your mother and father in law doing?
James and i are in!
p.s.
I think i’d take the same thing to an island, plus my bible. I know, dorky but true.
gotta have the Bible!! But I wouldn’t call it a beauty product. ;)
Those 3 things are must haves for me too! But instead if dove deo I’d probably go with dove soap… I’d rather get clean than cover it up + if I’m on an island there’s gotta be water (surrounding??).
Awesome theme, I know just the move if I can convince my hubby to do it with me. It’s called the baby maker…. JK (he wishes) ;) but really I already have an idea in mind.
Glad everything’s going better with your new family member, scary day for sure.
lol…pg heather..pg rated! ;)
ahhhh, cutest video EVER! whenever my sister and i work out together we do this move with medicine balls – love the burn in my core.
sending thoughts and prayers to your family.
thanks, Sarah!! Means so much!
So sorry you’ve had a tough week, I hope Travis’s brother will be okay!
I think Lisa and I might finally send in a move this week! Fingers crossed! Your video with Clara is too freaking cute!
YES PLEASE!!
Three classes (well almost) back to back?!? I nearly die when I have to teach spin and Bodypump back to back! Hope the little guy is feeling better (the photo is SO cute!)
My three things would easily be the same thing as yours- but I also have to add Kiss my Face body lotion- my skin is dry as a bone in the winter!
Btw, for some reason the video didn’t show up the first time I read this post, but then it appeared in my reader. I LOVE IT! SO CUTE!!
weird! hmm..
Oh my gosh – I couldn’t stop laughing at that video!! Child entertainment + working out all at once. :) So, so, so cute!! Great idea for a theme, I’ll have to recruit my hubby to join me when he gets back in town this weekend!
Three things: powder, deodorant, & soap?
now let me see you tootsie roll. to the left to the left to the right to the right now slide slide slide baby slide woop woop hahahaha
maybe i can get my dog to participate with me. he seems to be the only male in my life right now…
although i do know how to tootsie roll with the best of them ;)
I don’t have audio at work, so I had NO IDEA what was coming when I started watching that video. I totally burst out laughing outloud when you started that with Clara. Adorable.
And to all Lindsay’s friends, thank you so much for your prayers for our brother.
lol..She was a good sport!
hmmmm i have no buddy or partner :(
oh no so sorry for all the drama and the puking!
I would participate in your TT but I don’t know any couples moves (not that kind at least haha!)
Just google something, Heather!! We need YOU!
Contact solution, tooth paste, sunscreen ;)
still sending you our prayers…
