It has truly been FOREVER since I’ve posted a song list!  Don’t worry – we still sing on the Worship team.  That’s one activity that I never want to give up!  Picking up after three other people who don’t do the same for me – eh, THAT I could give up!  “Let the chamber maid clean it up.” (10 points if you can name that quote)

Starting the day off with songs and praise sets the tone for the rest of my day.  When I wake, I try to repeat, “This is the day that the Lord has made.  I will rejoice and be GLAD in it!”

Just saying that a couple of times, creates a sense of THANKFULNESS and JOY – because, here’s the thing, we aren’t guaranteed countless days.  We aren’t even guaranteed the next hour.  So every single day is a blessing!  And you can walk around angry and mad, complaining about this and that and how life isn’t going your way.  OR you can put on a countenance of joy and spread that joy to others.  You can be thankful for God’s Grace.

You get to choose.  You’re in control.

So today, I choose to rejoice and be glad!

  1. I absolutely LOVE that family picture. What a beautiful family!! I am most thankful for Billy today. We have had an incredible weekend together and I am so thankful for all of the quality time together!

    1. Whoa – why doesn’t your church have music? (just curious, you don’t have to answer if you don’t want to)….and I didn’t get Jasmine :/ I’m a Harem girl though, so I’ll be dancing and singing! Rehearsals start tomorrow!

  2. Beautiful family picture – looks like a Christmas card just waiting to happen. :) I’m thankful today for the beautiful Fall landscape around us, which I was able to enjoy during a morning run. I’m trying to take time to really look around me and take in the beauty of the area around me, something that is easy to overlook as we get to busy.
