feelin’ the love
Please give me the patience to be a better person today. Please help me to manage my time more wisely and really embrace the moment I’m in. Show me what YOU have for me in this day, Wednesday. Help me to slow down. Because yesterday was just wrong.
My Tuesday looked like a train wreck! It started at 6AM and ended sometime around 11PM, with not a minute to spare (which is why I haven’t responded to everyone’s comments/emails from yesterday’s TT). Travis joked that if I found myself sitting down, I should get worried because I’ve forgotten to be somewhere.
Luckily, I didn’t sit down.
It was one of those days where you just want to stick your head in a fan.
Believe me…HOURS of entertainment!
I had to keep giving myself pep talks, saying that this time would pass and that in a month from now, I’d get better at saying NO and have more time to just sit. For now though, that is not my reality.
I think God knows that I when I’m stressed and feeling worn down, I need to feel loved. I need for people to tell me they appreciate me, that I’m important. It’s not something that I crave per say, but feeling loved on definitely doesn’t hurt.
And lately, I’ve been feeling the love!!
Last week, Love Grown Foods sent me a little surprise in the mail!!
Inside, I found this sweet note from Laura…
And three full bags of Love Grown granola!!
I’ll be honest and say that I haven’t opened them yet. We already had FOUR boxes of cereal open, so I’m rushing through those so that I can give these new Love Grown guys the attention they deserve. Expect a formal review SOON!!
Thank you, Love Grown!!
Even more LOVE came two days ago when I got ANOTHER package in the mail!! This time from my fellow blogger, Chelsey! She even spelled my name right!!
OK…short side story. I recently wrote a guest post for Janetha about how much I didn’t want to see the same old pumpkin oats on everyone’s blog or something. Like the next day, Chelsey made those awesome bars that you see below and guess what they have in them – PUMPKIN!
So now it’s our inside joke – except I just told you, so I guess it’s public. It was a pretty lame joke anyways.
And after eating these Chewy Pumpkin Spice bars, it’s honestly hard to “hate on pumpkin”. They were delicious!! Henry and Clara approved too! (meaning they’re already gone!)
Here’s the recipe if anyone’s interested in making them. Chelsey – thank you! Blessed to call you friend!
Last piece of LOVE to make my day brighter:
Molly at Hungry Hungry Runner recently nominated me for the Liebster Award. Liebster is German for beloved. It is a sign of support in the blogging community and is designed to bring recognition to blogs that are new or have under 200 followers.
Here are the official rules:
1. Show your gratitude to the blogger who gave you the award by linking back to them.
2. Reveal your top 5 picks and let them know by leaving a comment at their blog.
3. Post the Award on your blog.
The thing I love about Molly is that we’ve got the same kind of humor….meaning we’re both kinda dorky and we don’t care who knows it. This girl is great with words and can set up a really funny joke!! Plus, she’s a pretty awesome runner – someone please send her a Garmin!!
My top 5 picks for Liebster are:
- Kristin @ STUFT Mama
- Kirsten @ KCaptures
- Heather @ Better With Veggies
- Britt @ Knewlywifed
- Stephanie @ Love Life Project
Love Grown foods, special packages, Liebster awards! Looking back over this list of “LOVE”, I really can’t complain! Even on days when I can barely catch my breath, I know that there are people and my God who love me. I just have to keep reminding myself….don’t ACTUALLY stick your head in the fan.
Just talk into it and laugh at how funny it makes your voice sound.
